![]() ![]() ![]() I randomly rented it from the local library (not knowing anything about it or about you), and found it to be truly amazing! Humorously, I didn't realize there was a first book before I was already over halfway through reading it. I just finished reading your book, In The End. Well I'm done with my rant but overall this was a torturingly awesome book, can't wait for the sequel. Is she going to be killed in the next book? And to think that the whole world was destroyed because of some lab boy's careless mistake. She did survive the Florae and I know she will survive fort black, but how without baby? Her Mother. And I have no idea how she'll survive in Fort black. I just wished she could stay in her house with baby and you know, none of this happened. ![]() Please tell me he gets mutated/ killed y her or Them in the next book? And what about Baby? How does she survive without Amy? But your apocalypse setting was amazing. The way she escaped, Dr.Reynolds can definitely tell her Mother the story he wanted to. And I also hope that Kay, Gareth and Rice won't get into trouble for helping her. I was crying at the end of the book, what is the point of her being alive if all she's doing is surviving? Without rice and baby? But then I realised there was a sequel and I was a bit more comforted and I hope that the next book will end in a more pleasing manner. I think you are the most amazing and sadistic author I've ever read. ![]() ![]() ![]() “The great state of Texas is waiting for you. It’s a lot of fuss over “that sooty, messy-haired, badly dressed little princess,” but a loving, contagiously enthusiastic tribute nonetheless. The book’s success is indeed celebration-worthy, with over three million copies sold in many languages including Arabic, Chinese, Flemish and Dutch (“De prinses in de papieren zak”). It’s fun to learn that in Munsch’s original story, he had the princess punching the prince, but the publisher nixed it in the name of nobility-and that Martchenko’s preliminary last-page sketch showed the princess naked, free of even her paper bag. ![]() Readers will find a basic walk-through of the publishing process then and now, plus the inside scoop on the PBP: brief biographies of author and illustrator, how they met, the identity of the “real Elizabeth” and more. Here, 25 years after the publication of The Paper Bag Princess, is a giddy celebration of the book’s anniversary that also includes the complete original. The story of the princess Elizabeth who outsmarts a dragon and puts down a prince has stolen the hearts of many. ![]() |
